                  Ideas for Math

Number Bingo

Students play number bingo with boards and cubes that have velcro on them.  The cubes become secure because they are velcroed to the board, making it impossible to knock over all your hard work.  In addition to written numerals, numbers are represented by pictoral dice that make it convenient for students to count or recognize numbers while playing this game.  The cubes are also the perfect size to grab and easy to manipulate for students with limited fine motor control.

Math Spinner

It is easy to attach a switch to this spinner, making it possible to activate with a light touch.  The spinner makes it possible for students who have difficulty flipping a card over or manipulating a deck of cards to play games with greater ease.

Computer Pattern Games

Students can make patterns with math manipulatives or on the computer.  Through a program created on Classroom Suite, students can scan using one or two switches and make patterns based on color, shape, or both.
